In a home setting and through interactive demonstration and hands-on participation you will learn about proper preparation of nutrient dense, whole, un-processed foods. We will discuss the principles used for many generations to prepare delicious and simple foods that are easy to digest and that provide us with health supporting nutrients. Recipes may vary according to seasons and market availability.

  • Overview of healthy fats, carbohydrates and proteins
  • Ideas to save money and still buy good, natural foods
  • Emphasis on whole foods, unprocessed, local and seasonal ingredients
  • Proper preparation of legumes grains, nuts & seeds for easier digestion

Traditional Nutrition in the Kitchen - Part 2 (choose one date only)

Sunflower seed pate, crispy nuts & spicy pumpkin seed "pepitas", to die for almond butter, easy sourdough baking, sprouted lentil patties (vegetarian), rendering animal fat, ghee (clarified butter), organ meats, roasted red pepper and pomegranate molasses dip, millet pilaf, lacto fermented vegetables (Kimchi, Sauerkraut, etc). Take home sourdough starter.
